Half an hour in the opposite direction and you're in the heart of Ayrshire, with world famous golf courses and the start of the Burns Trail. Or if you're en route to the Highlands & Islands, it's equally convenient for Loch Lomond and the Clyde Coast ferry services. Our Taste of Scotland Award came as a surprise - after all, you can't nominate yourself for this ultimate accolade in the Scottish catering trade. Again more recently we were awarded an AA rosette, furthermore confirming our committment to serve the finest natural produce, simply but imaginatively prepared. You might say there's nothing to it, when you start with such delectable ingredients. After all, how can you go wrong with oak smoked salmon, Renfrewshire beef or prime rack of lamb?
